Itinerary
 
Day 1 Bagdogra – Pelling                                                                        D
 
Pickup from Bagdogra airport and drive to Darap Village which is 15 minutes from Pelling ( 5 hours) . O/n at homestay in Darap village
 
Day 2 Pelling                                                                                             B,D
 
Full day sightseeing around Pelling. Visit the Rabdtense ruins, which was once the capital of Sikkim from where you drive to Pemagyatse monastery. Proceed to Khecheopalri lake which is considered to be a very holy lake by the locals. O/n at homestay in Darap village
 
Day 3 Pelling – Lingee Payong                                                                B,D
 
In the morning walk around the village to get a feel of the village life and also understand the unique Limboo culture. After breakfast drive to Lingee Payong village.

Day 4 Lingee Payong                                                                                B,L,D
 
For those who want to tread off the beaten path to experience the true flavours of a rural Sikkimese village, would find the twin villages of Lingee and Payong a perfect hideout. Tucked away in a remote corner of Sikkim at the base of Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary, it is pretty much cut out from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The twin villages consist of a heterogeneous mix of Nepali communities like Chettri, Rai & Gurung, peppered with a few Lepchas.
Walk around the fields and get involved in the daily lives of the community. One can also do some nice nature walks around the village
Note: The homestays over here are quite simple with most of them having Indian style toilets which are outside the house

Day 5 Lingee Payong – Gantok                                                              B
 
In the morning walk around this tranquil village and enjoy the beauty of the village. Post lunch leave for Gantok. O/n at Mintokling guesthouse / Hidden Forest Retreat or similar in Gantok
 
Day 6 Gantok                                                                                           B
 
In the morning visit the Tibetiology museum which has very interesting information about Buddhism. From here proceed to Rumtek monastery. If interested in nature you can also visit the Zoological Park . O/n at Mintokling guesthouse / Hidden Forest Retreat or similar in Gantok
 
Day 7 Gantok                                                                                           B
 
Excursion to Tsomgo/ Changu lake . O/n at Mintokling guesthouse / Hidden Forest Retreat or similar in Gantok
 
Day 8 Gantok – Bagdogra
 
Drop to Bagdogra airport
