It is situated in the region of Kumaon which was place of summer retreat for the British Sahibs. This is located in the foot hills of Shivalik ranges and is a model village developed by the famous Jim Corbett popularly known as Carpet Sahib. Jim Corbett- Hunter turned conservationist who killed 10 man eater tigers was also a writer, painter, photographer and musician. At the age of 10 he killed a leopard and became famous across the region. One of the Man eaters he killed took 437 lives. In the year 1915 this village known as Chhoti Haldwani was constructed on a land of 221 acres bought by him at Rs 1500 to turn this into a model village. He built canals throughout the village and promoted and assisted villagers to do agriculture. He also built a wall around the village to protect the crops from wild animals which one can see as a heritage. This is now a beautiful sight for tourists who want to experience the rural lifestyle. It’s a green setup which offers good kumaoni food in the community diner Aranya and home stays in a cottage. The village also offers a scope of Bird watching, Nature treks, study of Medicinal plants, Agri tourism, and voluntary tourism. You can also learn the local cuisine and enjoy the rural culture of Kumaon with folk songs and music. The village also offers a chance to visit the Jim Corbett museum which was previously the house of Corbett and his sister Maggie. Other attraction that one can visit is a beautiful hill station and Lake District of India Nainital and the oldest national park of India, Jim Corbett National Park.

Itinerary
Day 1
Reach Chhoti Haldwani (Jim Corbett’s Village), check in cottage. Freshen up.
Enjoy the kumaoni food on lunch in community diner (ARANYA).
Go for Heritage Trail Walk of the Village and trace back the history of the Corbett’s own village and interact with villagers.
Tea/coffee, Snacks
Visit Jim Corbett Museum and souvenir shop run by the villagers which have local products.
Bonfire / Documentary on Wildlife Conservation.
Dinner
Rest in cottage.
Day 2
Go for the trek, Brahm Booboo trail/ Boar Canal/ Corbett fall Trail.
Attractions – Bird watching, Wild life watching, Pug marks identification, River crossing, Waterfall etc.

Rest in cottage
Lunch
Teaching children in a primary school/ Awareness Camps, Plantation Drive and Nature Workshops.
Snacks with Tea/ Coffee
Learn Local Cuisine. Go to the field pluck the vegetable, collect all material and cook under the guidance of local woman.
Enjoy the dinner made by you with folk dance and folk music.
Rest at cottage.
Day 3 (Seasonal Delight)

Ploughing Field, Field Preparation / plucking fruits like Mango, Litchi form the orchards of the villagers.

Lunch
Visit First National park of the Country, Leave for Corbett National Park.
Reach Corbett Park.
Jeep Safari till Sunset.
Back to Chhoti Haldwani.
Leave for Haldwani to catch the train back to Delhi. ** (If not)
** Rest at the cottage.
Day 4 (Optional)
Leave for Delhi or Visit Nainital
Option1:- Drive Back.
Option2:- Take the train from Haldwani (Uttrakhand Sampark Kranti Exp. Departure 9.00 am)
