Sattal Forest Resort : Sattal

Place Description:-

Sattal is an interconnected group of seven freshwater lakes situated in the Lower Himalayan Range near Bhimtal, a town of the Nainital lake district in Uttarakhand, India . During the British Raj, the area had a tea plantation, one of four in the Kumaon area at that time. The lakes sit at an altitude of 1370 metres below lush orchards in the Mehragaon valley.

Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted freshwater biomes in India. These lakes are a paradise for migratory birds. It is home to a few camps being operated mostly by local people catering to tourists looking for outdoor vacations.

 

About the property:-

SatTal Forest Resort is a boutique resort, set amidst thick Pine and Oak forests of sattal hills. The resort overlooks the beautiful and picturesque 7 interconnected lakes, which together form the sattal lake complex. The resort is an eco friendly property, using rainwater harvesting and energy conserving design and architect. 

The rooms are luxurious and are equipped with all modern amenities, running hot and cold water, electric blankets, satellite TV and DVD players. All rooms and terraces have lake view.

The resort has a gym and reading room/library (both books and movies), Pool Table, a large dinning cum conference room, modern kitchen, laundry, games room, spacious gardens and terraces. Its large lobby and dinning hall can host a variety of activities/ groups, from corporate conferences to yoga/meditation course.
