The town of Almora, at an altitude of 2015 metres from sea level, is situated over a horse saddle shaped ridge of a mountain. The first hill station set up by the British in 1815, today Almora is wellconnected by air, rail and road. While the nearest airport to Almora is at Pantnagar, about 127 kms from Almora; the nearest railway station is at Kathgodam, which is connected by rail directly with Delhi, the capital of India, Lucknow, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh and Calcutta. Local transport, private taxies and buses run by private operators & UPSRTC are available at all hours. By road Almora is connected conveniently and is merely 360 kms away from Delhi and 466 kms from Lucknow.

Kasaar Jungle Resorts is a unique property developed in the scenic town of Almora. Spread over 06 acres of land next to Kasaar Devi temple, it is located 08 Kms before Binsar wild life sanctuary gate and 10 kms from the main town of Almora. The resort is surrounded by virgin jungle consisting of verdant, thick deodar, oak, pine and rhododendron trees. A wide range of Himalayan snow peaks add to the glamour of the Resort. There are 21 cottages elegantly decorated with modern taste and all amenities and facilities. Each cottage has a verandah from where you can savour the breathtaking view of the mighty Trishul, Nandadevi, Maiktoli, Mrightuni to name a few.
